Race Around The World
Our remote team building event ‘Race Around The World’ involves each team working together to help their ‘Explorer’ navigate across the globe against the clock.

Participants must work together to complete various challenges to win as many points as possible. To help with your expedition, teams must observe the online bulletins and assess information shown on the game map.

This timed remote team building event is highly competitive and provides a great vehicle to achieve learning outcomes including communication, collaboration, strategic thinking and working under pressure.

What’s Involved?
The activity consists of three levels, each offering a variety of fun and exciting challenges. With each team representing an explorer, players communicate via video conferencing to guide their team’s avatar across the globe.

To complete all three game levels successfully and acquire the maximum amount of points, teams must take note of online bulletins and assess information gleaned from the game map. Timed stages and the added pressure of managing limited resources makes for a very engaging learning platform.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
Race Around The World allows your workforce to develop their soft skills specifically while working remotely. As the objectives unfold throughout the game, teams must take an agile approach to their collaborative strategic thinking and planning. It has an iterative learning framework where participants are encouraged to gather information, think critically and compare their solution with the other members in their team.

Working against the clock, it soon becomes evident that communicating online is quite different from a physical face-to-face connection. Actively listening to receive and interpret messages, watching for facial cues and communicating precisely and succinctly are keys to team success.
